Cash donated and collected $2,211.24.

7,500 pounds of donated food came from three grocery locations: Mitchell’s Your Independent Grocer and Giant Tiger in Carleton Place, and Patrice’s Your Independent Grocer in Almonte.

In addition, 1,090 lbs. of food came from Mitchell’s Your Independent Grocer’s Grand Opening, along with Build a Mountain of Food Campaigns put on by St. Mary’s Parish Girl’s Youth, and St. Gregory school, along with cash donations from these Build a Mountain Campaigns totalling $709.12.

Thanks to Starbuck’s for supplying coffee to the Lanark County Food Bank volunteers and board members for the day, and thanks to Waterfall Catering for supplying their van for the day to pick up the boxes of food collected and for delivery to the Lanark County Food Bank.

And a big thank you to Karin Nakamura and all the volunteers and board members who came out to support the 2015 Build a Mountain of Food Campaign as we kicked off week number one in Carleton Place and Almonte.

And finally, we would all like to thank the residents Carleton Place, Almonte, and surrounding areas, who donated food and cash throughout the day, in support of the Lanark County Food Bank.

Thank you all so much!
